Eastern boys cruise to 72-47 win over Berlin Monday night

Bristol Eastern's Jordan Chisholm hits on a three in a game earlier this season | M. Letendre

Two weeks ago, the Bristol Eastern boys basketball team jumped out to a commanding lead at Berlin in the first quarter, but let that lead slip away in what would become a crushing one point loss, 56-55.

The Lancers were not about to let the same thing happen in their home gym Monday night.

Eastern never took the foot off the gas pedal and led from start to finish in a command performance against the Redcoats.

The Lancers played lock-down defense throughout the game, and every member of the starting line-up contributed valuable points in a perfectly balanced attack. Jordan Chisholm led the scoring parade with 17 points. Lukas Sward had 15, Zaveyn Tate 13, Brayden Dauphinais 10, and Brady Bell chipped in with 8 points as the Eastern offense hummed along.

Berlin’s Braeden Harris was the only Redcoat in double figures with a 17 point total.

With the victory, the Lancers improved to 12-3 with five contests remaining in the regular season.

Eastern next travels to Middletown for a 6:45 match-up Thursday night.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
