Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz announces expanded bus service in Central Connecticut.

BERLIN — As part of an $18 million plan to improve transit across the state, Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz joined Connecticut Department of Transportation and local officials in Berlin Friday to announce the expansion of bus service throughout Central Connecticut and Stamford that will begin on Sunday.

CTtransit will begin operating four new bus routes that will serve New Britain, Berlin, Meriden, Plainville, Southington and Stamford. This will increase bus frequency at night in greater New Britain and Bristol, Bysiewicz said.
