BRISTOL — Following a large public outcry, discussion of euthanizing the excess Canada Geese population in Bristol has been tabled by the city’s Board of Park Commissioners.

The park board met Wednesday evening to discuss the ongoing problems caused by the large number of Canada Geese in Bristol’s Parks and on Memorial Boulevard. Because their high population results in geese droppings being left everywhere, a number of methods have been tried to reduce their population over the years.
