Lourdes M. Elder

Lourdes M. Elder, 77, of Bristol, widow of Whitney R. Elder, died on Thursday (February 22, 2024) at home.
Lourdes was born on December 8, 1946 in Arima, Trinidad and Tobago and was one of six children of the late
Orban and Norma (Francis) Munroe.
She was raised and lived in Trinidad until moving to Bronx, New York in 1973. She worked in healthcare as a home health aide.
Lourdes is survived by two children: Wendy Elder of Las Vegas, NV, and Keith Elder and wife, Sara of Bristol; siblings: Clinton, Janice, and Janet of Trinidad; five grandchildren: Miles Martin, Whitney, Charles, Frederick, and Henry Elder; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers: Vernon and Victor.
She will be buried privately in St. Raymond New Cemetery, Bronx, NY. There are no calling hours. Funk Funeral Home, Bristol CT is honored to serve the Elder family.
