Arthur E. Potz

Arthur E. Potz, 88, of Burlington, beloved widower of Jeanne (Stewart) Potz, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Thursday evening, February 22, 2024 surrounded by his family. Arthur was born in Bristol on January 21, 1936 and was the son of the late Arthur G. and Edna (Semrow) Potz. After graduating from Bristol High School, Arthur enlisted in the United States Army stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1958. He married the love of his life Jeanne Stewart and they were married for thirty five plus years before she passed away in 1993. He retired from Canberra Industries of Meriden as an accountant. Arthur was a quiet and peaceful man who loved to watch old WWII movies and spend time with his children and grandchildren.
Arthur is survived by his children: Kimberly Brooks and her husband Frederick of Burlington, Michael Potz also of Burlington and Steven Potz of Cocoa, Fl. He is also survived by his brother Ernest Potz of Bristol, 4 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and his furry feline companion Pinky. Arthur was predeceased by his brother Ralph.
A funeral home service for Arthur will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Burial with military honors will follow in West Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service.
