Claudette Sorensen

Claudette Sorensen, 90, of Bristol, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024 at home. She was born on January 18, 1934 in Frenchville, Maine, daughter of the late Levite and Cecile (Bealieu) Gagnon. Claudette was the loving wife of the late Charles Sorensen whom passed away in 1991.

A woman who treated others, as she would want to be treated. If she told a lie, it was to spare someone’s feelings in unimportant matters. If it were important, she would tell you face to face, good or bad. She was slow to anger but not immune to it. When she got mad enough, she would let you know, face to face.

She was loving to her family and kind to her friends. Staying for dinner? Oh, what a wonderful home cooked meal was served. A pleasure to have around even if she was sad or feeling irritable, her sense of humor and wit remained steadfast, her feelings came in second to others’.

A woman who spent her life in the service of her fellow man. She went without, so that others could have. Heaven is now a better place. “Mom You did good, thanks for taking such great care of us all”! Rest in Peace with Dad. With Eternal Love,

Claudette is survived by her son David Sorensen of Bristol; daughter Mary Nordgren of Burlington; grandson Robert Nordgren of Meriden; great-grandchildren Gabriel and Rhea; brother Joseph Gagnon of NC; sister Shirline Andrews of Bristol and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, Claudette is predeceased by her grandson Ryan Nordgren and three siblings.

A burial will be held privately.
