James "Jim" Bartucca

December 6, 1964 ~ March 13, 2024 (age 59) 59 Years Old

Tribute

Jim was born in Bristol, CT and lived there for most of his life.  He was a loving husband, father and friend.  He was happiest spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed hosting holiday dinners and other celebrations.
Jim is survived by his wife Debbie, son Nick, daughter Sarah, brothers Peter (Bobbie) and Bill (Joanie), nieces Erin DeSilva (Dan) and Jamie and nephew Michael (Erika).  He was predeceased by his parents Antoinette and Bruno and his brother Anthony.
Jim believed in living life to the fullest, and had many hobbies and interests.  He enjoyed playing guitar, especially when getting together with Nick or Peter.  He was an avid cyclist, and had many biking adventures with Bill, cycling buddies or Debbie.
Jim jumped into the beer brewing craze when it started in the late 80’s, joining the Central CT Beer Brewers Association and hosting tasting events at his home (the New York Times covered one in an article).  More recently, he made red wine (Zinfandel was his best).  Friends and family would help take grapes off the stems, with Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra playing.  Jim could turn any occasion into a party.  His mother Antoinette looked forward to it every year, and talked about how he was carrying on a family tradition.
Jim was handy, and did many home improvement projects.  He helped Sarah with a kitchen remodel, joking that he was providing “Daddy dollars” (but he loved helping and spending time with her).
Jim was a loving husband to Debbie for 33 years.  They had many great times together, traveling, cycling and just being together.
Jim will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  He will always be in our hearts, and we share many happy memories.
