In modern culture, tattoos and body art have gone from being a part of the underground subculture to a large part of our society. Tracing the history of tattooing and body art will show how it is something that spans across time and continents. Almost all cultures have this art form in their past, if not their present. People get tattoos for a myriad of reasons, but this personal artwork is something that connects people from infinite walks of life and backgrounds. Our project will inspire people to learn about this art form, its history, about how it connects societies across the globe.
