Grades 4 and up! Read and discuss some award-winning children’s fiction! Each week we will discuss a different Nutmeg Nominee over lunch. You bring lunch and I’ll provide drinks and a delicious dessert! Books available at the library. Space is limited! Please register at the desk or call Manross Library at 860-584-7790.

at the New England Carousel Museum

Join scholars and experts as we learn about the art and history of carousels, their carvers, the artists, and your favorite carousels. Museum After Hours will be held from 6:30-7:30 PM with a wine and cheese reception taking place 6:00-6:30 PM. Admission to this series is included with general admission, and as always museum members are free.

The Coney Island style is known for being very beautiful, flashy, and loud with gems, gold-leafing, and attitude. Explore the heyday of this iconic style with a talk and question and answer period. Then take in a magic show that is reminiscent of those along the famed Coney Island Boardwalk.

Join us at Imagine Nation, in Bristol CT for a unique workshop for kids ages 2-8 led by the New Britain Museum of American Art! They will be bringing the quintessential vibe of the West Coast to Imagine Nation and combining learning about natural and built environments while using different textural elements to create collages that invoke a Los Angeles landscape.

Our unique Museum Studios and events are best for youth ages 2-8. This event is included in the $10/person admission fee.
